With the blessing of the Estate of Healey Willan and in collaboration with the Canadian Music Centre, Canadian Art Song Project has completed and released 22 songs that were not previously published*. Artistic Directors Lawrence Wiliford and Steven Philcox were joined by collaborative pianist Helen Becqué to edit the two volumes of songs.
Many of the songs included in these collections are ideal for young University students whereas others will challenge advanced singers.
We are very excited about these two collections and hope that they help bring Willan’s songs back into public awareness.
