We are thrilled to share that our album Known to Dreamers: Black Voices in Canadian Art Song has been nominated for a 2025 JUNO Award in the category of Classical Album of the Year (Small Ensemble)!. This is the second JUNO nomination for a Canadian Art Song Project album. In 2020, baritone Peter Barrett, soprano Martha Guth, mezzo-soprano Allyson McHardy, and pianist Helen Becqué were nominated for their contributions to Healey Willian: Summer Night in the category of Classical Album of the Year (Vocal or Choral).
Known to Dreamers highlights the contributions of Black composers and writers to Canadian art song, featuring powerful performances by Measha Brueggergosman-Lee, Elliot Madore, Jonelle Sills, and pianist Steven Philcox.
